Abstract |
|
|
This work presents a novel sensing platform to selectively identify toxic gases namely, NH3, NO2, SO2 and H2S at room temperature by combining the functional advantages of both multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and semiconducting metal oxides. A simple and cost effective yet efficient process was adopted for decorating MWCNT with metal oxides to reveal unique response from each gas. Further, principle component analysis of all sensor responses acquired through a dedicated signal conditioning circuit suggests the identification of gases based upon the clustering of responses.
