Abstract |
|
|
With a view to understand the effect of sintering temperature on magnetic and electric behavior of perovskite manganites, a series of materials with compositional formula, La0.67A0.33MnO3 (where A=Ca, Sr, Pb, and Ba) were prepared by PVA-gel route. The electric and magnetic transitions increase with increasing sintering temperature, while after an initial increase they are found to decrease with increasing average A-site ionic radii. The observed behavior was explained using core-shell model and cation mismatch effect. The electrical resistivity data over the entire temperature region is fitted to Effective Medium Approximation model.
