|
Lead-free (K0.48Na0.48Li0.04) 1-x Ba x/2 (Nb0.90 Sb 0.06Ta 0.04)O3 ceramics have been fabricated by a conventional ceramic technique and their structure, dielectric and piezoelectric properties have been studied. The results of X-ray diffraction and temperature dependence of relative permittivity ?r show that the ceramics with a pure perovskite structure changes from the coexistence of tetragonal and orthorhombic phases to orthorhombic phase with x increasing and the ferroelectric tetragonal-ferroelectric orthorhombic phase transition shifts to high temperature. After the introduction of Ba2+, the grain growth is inhibited and a diffuse phase transition is induced. The piezoelectric properties of the ceramics are enhanced slightly at x=0.005, giving piezoelectric coefficient d33 = 276 pC/N, electromechanical coupling factors kp = 52.8% and kt = 49.4%. Our results show that K0.5Na0.5NbO3-based ceramics with donor doping exhibit different electrical characteristics from Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 ceramics with donor doping.
